A Journey to Wellness, Inspired by Nature

My passion for natural medicine began when I was a little girl and watched my grandmother heal others with natural medicine—what we now commonly call alternative medicine. I was curious about the herbal and natural ingredient combinations she created to treat various ailments.

She was a Native Taino Indian natural healer, or “curandera”, who used to get up with the sunrise and settle her day after dinner with the sunset. She had an inherent respect for mealtimes and food combinations and always used to say that we should only eat what came from “la tierra” (the soil).

My grandmother was so special to me, and I was always curious about the mysteries of her knowledge, as if she had inherited it through divine ancestral energy—like a natural download of information—as she did not know how to read or write. However, she intuitively knew every plant, how and when to plant it, how to make it grow, when and how to harvest it, what parts to use, and how to apply it for healing. She dedicated her life to helping people heal naturally.

She knew how to manage the force of healing energy with her hands before we knew about Reiki. She used to read eyes before Iridology became popular. She knew all about plants before we called it Naturopathy. Yet people called her a witch, and therefore, they called me “la nieta de la bruja” (the granddaughter of the witch).

Growing up with this stigma was confusing at times, but I was more impressed by how many people would come to her for help, how happy they always were to see her, and how grateful they were as they left.

This was engraved in my memory as a child, and I knew that I also wanted to do what my grandmother did in some way. I knew I wanted to help people heal naturally because I learned at a very early age that there is a symbiotic healing relationship between humans and nature.

During my college years, I worked at most of the major hospitals and clinics in Boston, witnessing firsthand how minor complaints evolved into diseases. I saw patients suffer, recover, and, in some cases, pass away. Throughout those years, I learned about the most common illnesses, the prescribed treatments, and the pharmaceutical cycle—where one medication led to side effects, which required another drug, often exacerbating other symptoms. Please don’t get me wrong, I believe in the power of allopathic medicine and technology. However, I truly believe in the greater potential of integrating conventional medicine with natural healing. A synergistic approach could provide a more holistic and effective path to wellness.

This realization set me on a personal mission: to develop my own purpose and become a modern extension of my grandmother’s healing legacy. I dedicated myself to formal education and research, striving to develop the most effective natural formulations to address today’s most common health concerns. With great care and passion, I focused on improving people's quality of life, which led to the creation of Organic Health Labs. It was then that I coined the slogan Loving you, loving the earth!

Since 2008, my purpose and mission have been to help people heal naturally. Before formulating any supplement, I take time to meditate, pray, and seek guidance from God and my grandmother, trusting in their wisdom to help me craft the most effective, holistic solutions. My goal is always to restore the body to its natural state of balance—its homeostasis.

As I pursued my doctorate degree in Ayurvedic Medicine, I finally understood the mysteries of her knowledge and the profound wisdom behind my grandmother’s healing methods.

It is my deepest wish that my (our) products support your healing journey, restore your health, and empower you to trust in your own ability to stay healthy. True healing comes from within—through the harmony of mind, body, and soul.

Modern life often throws us out of balance, but by staying aligned, grounded, and spiritually connected, every cell in your body will know exactly what to do.

Blessings
